2018年9月14日、任天堂がプレゼンテーション番組
“Nintendo Direct 2018.9.14”を配信。
この中で、以前Wii U用ソフトとして発売された
『New スーパーマリオブラザーズ U』が、
Nintendo Switchに登場することが明らかに。
発売日は2019年1月11日。
キノピコは、新アイテムの「スーパークラウン」を取ると、「キノピーチ」に変身
本作では、トッテンとキノピコが
プレイヤーキャラクターとして追加。
トッテンは敵に当たってもダメージを受けない特徴があり、
キノピコはスーパークラウンを手に入れると
キノピーチに変身し、2段ジャンプやふわふわ移動出来たり、
底なし谷から落ちても戻れたりする特徴を有しています。
クッパがスーパークラウン取ったらクッパ姫(princess bowser、Princess Bowsette)になるのではと、海外で大流行
