ラグビーW杯で『ランチパック』が外国人に流行している
取材に訪れているイングランドの解説者はメディアルームで大人気となっている『メイド・イン・ジャパン』を紹介。
7人制ラグビーの元イングランド代表主将で、現在は解説者を務めるロブ・ヴィッカーマン氏は自身のツイッターで1枚の画像を公開した。
今大会は取材に訪れた記者の作業スペースに軽食が用意されているが、海外メディアの間でも流行しているというのだ。

最後の『マーマイト』とは？
マーマイトとは、ビール醸造の過程で発生した酵母を発酵させて作る栄養食品。
ヴィッカーマン氏の故郷、イングランドでは家庭でパンに塗るなどして一般的に食べられているものだ。
他に類を見ない味と香りのため外国人には理解できない味とされることが多く、日本や米国などでは悪評が高く普及してはいない。

さっきラグビーワールドカップの取材らしき記者？の書き込みを見て冗談だろと思った。ヤマザキ製パンのランチパックのピーナッツが絶品と評価。コレはいいけどその記事のラストの方で、イギリスで言えばマーマイトみたいなものかと記述。全然違うだろ！！。
